Partners
The partners are the City of Stuttgart (45 percent), Verband Region Stuttgart (an organisation of local authorities in the Stuttgart Region) and the Stuttgart Region Economic Development Corporation (Wirtschaftsförderung Region Stuttgart GmbH) (45 percent together), the Baden-Württemberg Chamber of Architects and the University of Stuttgart (5 percent each). The Chamber of Architects as a partner represents further chambers and associations such as Bund Deutscher Architekten (Association of German Architects) and Ingenieurkammer Baden-Württemberg (Baden-Württemberg Chamber of Engineers), while the University of Stuttgart represents other third-level institutions in the region.
City of Stuttgart
The state capital Stuttgart is the center of the Stuttgart region and the state of Baden-Württemberg. The state government and the state parliament as well as numerous state and some federal authorities have their headquarters here. The municipal council is the main body of the city and represents the people of Stuttgart. The mayor is the head of the city.
Verband Region Stuttgart
Verband Region Stuttgart is the organisation of local authorities in the Stuttgart Region. The population of the region elects the regional assembly every five years. This regional parliament is unique in Baden-Württemberg. The association is headed by the honorary chairperson and a full-time regional director. is the political entity for the Stuttgart Region.
Stuttgart Region Economic Development Corporation (Wirtschaftsförderung Region Stuttgart GmbH)
The Stuttgart Region Economic Development Corporation (Wirtschaftsförderung Region Stuttgart GmbH) is responsible for the regionally important business development and regional tourism marketing. Activities include investor services, the establishment of technology and industry networks, and national and international location marketing.
Baden-Württemberg Chamber of Architects
The Baden-Württemberg Chamber of Architects has around 25,500 members from the fields of building construction, interior design, landscape architecture and urban planning. It is a service company, advocacy group, supervisory authority and a place of self-administration for the Baden-Württemberg architects’ association.
University of Stuttgart
With more than 25,000 students and 5,300 employees, the University of Stuttgart is a leading technically oriented university in Germany. It integrates engineering, natural sciences, humanities and social sciences based on top-class discipline research.
