IBA’27 Friends e.V.
Become part of IBA’27 Friends e.V.: Celebrate the city with us. Its proximity and diversity. Its strength and productivity. Its ability to constantly reinvent itself. In the entire Stuttgart Region.
How do we live and work in the 21st century? This question is at the heart of the International Building Exhibition 2027 StadtRegion Stuttgart (IBA’27). The response to the call for projects and the first projects show that the IBA is getting big things rolling. Exactly one hundred years after the Weissenhof Estate, it has the potential to create built role models for a sustainable future. In 2027, they should radiate from the Stuttgart region far into the world. Such a project succeeds if it is supported by many shoulders and can count on broad support.
The IBA’27 is an open and dialog-oriented format. The people of the Stuttgart Region already identify with the IBA and are involved in the IBA’27 Forum, in public participation processes and take part in IBA events. From June 2021, there will be another opportunity to get involved in the Stuttgart city region as a liveable, sustainable space: by becoming a member of the »IBA’27-Friends e.V.« association.
The aim of the association is to work together with the IBA’27 to ensure quality of life for a changing region and to strengthen building culture. IBA’27-Friends e.V. promotes and initiates events and projects in a wide range of areas – from architecture and urban planning to art and culture to vocational training. Only together can we meet the challenges of environmental, technological and social change with courage and imagination. The association’s membership fees are used exclusively for charitable purposes.
As a friend of the IBA’27, you are actively involved in the sustainable transformation of an entire region. The IBA’27 accompanies this transformation with a wide range of plans and projects. It relies not only on bold visions and urban planning expertise, but also on the willingness of each individual to take responsibility for their own living space.
