Karin Lang appointed as CFO of IBA’27 GmbH

Karin Lang is the new CFO of Internationale Bauausstellung 2027 StadtRegion Stuttgart GmbH (IBA’27). The experienced manager of a publishing house with a degree in architecture will take over from Holger Haas on 1 May 2020. Mr. Haas returned to the field of regional economic development at the end of the year as planned.

Karin Lang was born in Stuttgart in 1961 in Stuttgart and has more than 15 years of experience in leadership and management. After studying architecture in Munich and working in an architects’ office and in adult education, she moved to WEKA Baufachverlag publishers, where she held various management roles. She subsequently spent many years managing Ernst & Sohn, one of the best-known specialist publishers for civil engineering. Most recently, Karin Lang was CEO of Detail Business Information GmbH in Munich, which publishes works such as the international architecture journal ›Detail‹. She played a key role in digitalisation and internationalisation at all three publishing houses and was committed to ensuring close collaboration between the different disciplines in the construction industry.

With the appointment of Karin Lang, the management team at IBA’27 is once again fully staffed. Lang will in future be responsible for running the ongoing commercial operations of IBA’27 GmbH. As CEO and Director, Andreas Hofer has overall responsibility for content. Andreas Hofer and Karin Lang head up a team of almost twenty staff from the areas of architecture, planning, geography, scenography, administration and communication.
